You wrote me notes on paper bags
Air was calm the sky was black
You wrote a list of things I lack
We've opened up or eyes
And I'm a painting but you're blinded
We're barely getting by on taking chances
It's us that we despise
And I'm a painting but you're blinded
It's us that we despise
These are the lyrics to the song I am using in my music video. After looking at the lyrics in detail I have noticed that there are lot of elements of the song that would work well in a narrative music video.
For example the line " You strolled the roads as I turned back, Air was calm the sky was black"
This line of the song comes early and is the first section. ( lines 3 and 4 ) In my planning stages I had the idea of having two people walking in opposite direction in a dark street with only street lights, then for the line that says the air was calm the sky was black I want to have the camera placed on a tripod on the top of a hill watching the sun set. I think this would work well as it would symbolize the love in the song fading and turning to darkness.
line 6 would also work well to do a literal image of- the line is " we've opened our eyes" My idea for this line would to have the girl im filming sitting in front of a mirror with her eyes closed and then slowly open them and look at her self in the mirror and then the mirror starts to turn black.
We've come to realize
You're a mountain I can't climb yet
We've come to realize
Always have to justify how my tongue dances
You're a mountain I can't climb yet
We've come to realize
You strolled the roads as I turned back
